Live, Live, Live…
good morning. 7 am and the waves are small, windy, and junky again. but like i said yesterday, if you know where to look, you can have an awesome session. that’s where i’ll probably be going again today….
last night was amazing. i went to two concerts and a poetry contest all in a matter of a few hours. it started at 9 pm….

i was invited by a friend to watch him do a secret live performance at “The Kahala” hotel. i didn’t ask permission to put his name or photos on my blog so i’ll be on the safe side and won’t. i’ll just call him K-san for now. i’ve been surfing with K-san for this past 2 weeks. we’ve been riding waves together and having a lot of fun. i heard that he is a famous singer in japan and is in a group that is equivalent to Boys to Men or N’sync. K-san is very kind, humble, and soft spoken. so when he grabbed the microphone and sang the first song, i was speechless. chicken skin.. wow!!! he had such an amazing voice. he sang 5 songs and i wanted to hear more. one of the songs he sang was nada sou sou, which brought tears to my eyes. next time i go surfing with K-san, i’m going to ask him a favor. i’m going to ask him if he can sing for me when we’re paddling out[:????$B”L(B?:][:????$B”L(B?:][:????$B”L(B?:]
if i’m ever in japan and get the chance to see K-san perform, i’m there!!!

i left The Kahala Hotel at 9:27 pm and i had to rush over to the Fresh Cafe Warehouse for Kat’s live performance at 9:30 pm. can you believe i made it? i got from kahala to ward in 3 min? right as i walked in, kat was getting ready. and guess what? the first song she sang was called “Thank You”. that was the first song i heard her sing at a party in chiba a few years ago. chicken skin again….

then after kat’s live, there was a poetry contest. guys were walking on stage doing poems. WOW!!! i’d never thought i would be into poems but that was amazing too. the stories been told through poems were real. so real that my mind was going back and forth as it was circling through my whole life. chicken skin again…
i got more chicken skin in one night then i’ve ever gotten in my life. got more stories to tell but got to get out of my house…. have a great day!!!
Peace and Shaka!!!
good evening. it was raining, cloudy, windy, and small waves around the island today. but you know what? this is an island so if you know where to look, you will find sunshine and a lot of happy faces. i had an awesome day!!! now i’m going to go out and have an awesome night!!!

kelia has been so busy recently going back and forth to the movie set, school homework, and contests. last night she spent the night over at my mom’s house so this morning, i called her up for a surf. we went to waikiki and had a blast!!! on the way there, she told me to follow her in her car to waikiki, but when she started driving the opposite direction, she pulled over and said “uncle, i follow you”. haha…

i haven’t been in the water at waikiki for a while. so today was fun for me. it was fun watching all the people enjoying themselves in the ocean. and as i was looking around, i realized even more that this place is paradise. nowhere can beat it…

these two girls from japan were so happy. the kept swimming around trying to catch a wave. peace and shaka to you too!!!

and last, do you know what the coolest thing about doing a blog is for me? it’s making dreams happen and encouraging people to come to hawaii. i met kumiko-san in the water today and she told me that after reading my blog, she decided to come to hawaii. that made me really happy! i’m glad to meet you kumiko-san and hope your enjoying your stay in hawaii. please send me your email address and i’ll send you the high resolution file of this photo. this one is on go-naminori!!
