Takai kedo sakana mou takai!!!
Today ippai get shita!!! itadakimasu!!!

Okinawa Birthdays!!!

good morning. kyle called me last night and i was hesitant to answer the phone because i have soooo many things to do today. it’s 5am and i’m not up because i’m jet lagged, i’m up because i’m going diving. kyle asked me to go diving and i told him i’d have to think about it so give me 30 minutes to call back. i called him back in 5 minutes. i’m in!! i just couldn’t say no for many reasons.
1. i need to get back into the water.
2. i need to lose weight and exercise.
3. i want to try a new spear gun i bought a while ago.
4. the waves are small and there is no wind.
5. we’re going on kyle’s boat.
6. and i’m on a diet so i want to eat fresh fish all week.

i guess that’s good enough reasons right? well, i better get going. we’re going to look for big fish in the blue water, and some reef fish later. i got my 3 guns ready. dive today! surf tomorrow!! have a nice day..

i finally downloaded my photos from my cameras. got some awesome ones. most of them were taken at night. check this one out. this was our BEGIN after party at hokulea. we ate an awesome dinner and our party started right around 12 midnight. this is my favorite japanese drinking game. it’s called “ise no ichi.” we also played jun ken po. 2 teams were formed. takahashi-san team. and kimura-san team. luckily, i was on takahashi-san’s team. we won almost every game. kimura-san’s team had to drink over 10 shots of jacksan and we only had one. it was funny because kimura-san was trying to get me drunk so i will miss my flight the next morning. it never worked. haha….

then we celebrated satoru-san’s birthday by taking another jacksan shot. here is youichi-san and kazubo-san wishing satoru-san a happy okinawan birthday….
**about birthdays in okinawa. a few years ago, my birthday fell on a day i was in okinawa. i didn’t tell anyone. why? because i knew what would happen. the party doesn’t finish till the birthday boy goes down…. abunai….

the day i arrived in okinawa, there was a party at satoru-san’s house. it was his daughter teru-chan’s first birthday. that night got a little crazy too. so crazy that those ukon drinks and stuff didn’t work. anyway, wanted to wish satoru-san and teru-chan a happy birthday again[:??$B!^(B??????:]

Crystal….

gosh, it feels so good to be back home.
t-shirt,
shorts,
and slippers.
that’s all i need….

the first thing i did was unpack my brand new board i brought home with me. put on my stickers, waxed it up, and i went straight to the beach…. this is a new 5’8 chris kaysen thunderbird model. it worked unreal!!

i sure missed the beautiful weather here. i heard it’s been cold but please don’t tell me that. people here don’t know what cold is…. hawaii is paradise!!! i surfed kaisers. it was flat but every 15 minutes, a chest high barrel will come through. and i was on it. it felt good to get crystal blue barreled again….

along with thousands of unopened emails, i still get piles of regular mail too. i finally got my crystal JAL card. after flying all those miles this year, JAL finally stepped up to put me in the VIP category. now i can fly first class, check in all my board for free, and have a flight attendant giving me a massage on all my flights. score yeah!!! the bummer thing is that i don’t want to board an airplane for a long time….
well, i’m back and got thousands of things to do. have a great evening….
