good morning. hey, where is the rain? it supposed to rain hard from last night. i just looked outside and the weather is looking good. the waves on the north shore are junk. north winds so onshore and cold. town is super clean. waist high and perfect. better go surf and enjoy this weather now because it’s forecasted to change really soon. have a nice day!!!
yesterday was the first time i drove down to the beach since i got my eye surgery. that’s 8 days!! seemed like months. diamond head looked really fun. chest high, 20 guys out, and really sunny!!! the water looked super clean too. but after our rain today and tomorrow, it won’t be clean anymore….
i walked into the ocean until my neck sticking my head and right hand out of the water. i had to keep my eye and hand dry. it felt weird, but i guess it was better than nothing…
last night, i stopped by to have a couple of beers with my friend tats, or “eddie”. it was his birthday!! can you believe i’ve known tats for 27 years? yeah, we go way back into the days!!! game world? point after? fights? vw races? fishing? acting crazy? yeah, we did everything… congratulations tats!!!
and last, my friend russ is in a contemporary hawaiian music band called Ocean’s Fire. their playing live this friday night at Margaritas Beach Bar in Waikiki. go check them out!!

Kat is playing live in okinawa!!! yup, november 14th she will be playing at the Cotonoha Artspace + Cafe. i love Kat’s music because she has such a great voice and her lyrics are incredible. plus, Kat is such a nice person. so to all my okinawa friends, go check out Kat playing live and request a song for me. i think it’s called “Thank you for thinking of me”. she played that song for us at a party a few years ago and it’s still stuck in my head. Go KAT!!!

Angela Aki?
good morning. small waves around the island. heavy rain coming tomorrow. go rent some DVD’s, stay home, and relax. that’s what i’m going to do…. have a nice day!!!
there is this small japanese restaurant on a side street near my house. it’s called ???…. wait, i better not say. it’s so underground that i don’t want it to get crowded. anyway, the owner is from okinawa and we use to have parties there all the time. i haven’t been there in 3 years so last night was a good night to go back and enjoy the okinawan style. the master has always been an entertainer….
the restaurant is kind of small so customers talk to each other all the time. the table next to us happened to be angela aki’s mom and dad. they were celebrating mom’s birthday. they seemed to be cool people that were having a great time…
this is angela aki’s dad doing the okinawan dance. i don’t know if i’m supposed to post these kind of photos on my blog. will i get into trouble???
had another great night with great friends. toda-san, takami-san, eri-chan, and maki-san. arigato gozaimasu!!! please keep this restaurant a secret… thanks… by the way, i woke up with a sore jaw from too much laughing… what a blast it was last night….
and for all of you who don’t know who angela aki is. she’s a super big star in japan. a really famous singer. i listened to her music before and now i was there to celebrate her mom’s birthday, and see her dad do an awesome okinawan dance. when in hawaii, you never know who your going to bump into….
