good morning. 5:30 am here on what’s looking to be like another hot day in okinawa. the waves on an outer island was overhead yesterday and supposed to be bigger today. so that’s where we will be going. the island is called “kudaka” island, which translates to “gods island”. i went there once before and couldn’t believe how clean the water was. anyway, today i’m surfing!!! can’t wait to get on the boat….. have a nice day…
everything we do in okinawa is fun. whether it be a contest, an after party, or anything. everybody does everything here with a smile on their face. that’s what makes this island so special. and the support for surfing is just amazing….
check out this cool pineapples growing out of a cup of water…..
and last. i love sunsets, and i love taking photos of sunsets. we were driving back one evening to our hotel when we passed by this bay. it was freaking amazing. now i have my new screen saver….

good evening, another long day in okinawa. hot, hot, and hot. the waves are fun, the people are nice, and i’m enjoying every minute of my time here. hope you are too where ever you are….
i wanted to thank bodyboarders megu-chan, yoko-chan, and kaori-chan for a fun time in okinawa. these girls are super cool and nice. have a safe flight home!!!
fireworks is something that makes a lot of people happy. i’m so lucky to travel around japan and see so many different shows in so many different prefectures this one was right in chatan. i took this from the window while eating dinner at the hokulea restaurant. cool yeah???
when we dive, we catch fish. this day was no different. we dove, and we caught fish. a lot of fish…
riding a $10,000 jet ski on some outer island off of okinawa is a dream for many. for me, it’s a reality….
see you tomorrow….
**by the way, wanted to thank Fredrick from Sweden for the email about diving. here’s the answer to your question about what speargun do i use. i use a 100cm picasso basik when i’m traveling. why? because if customs takes it away, i can always go buy another one. and keep it stock because if you ever need parts, you probably can find it anywhere in the world. a 100cm is good for reef dives and believe it or not, you can spear big GT’s, ono’s, and even tuna’s with it….. but if you want a good speargun for home. buy an andre speargun. andre is an excellent diver from bali that has a teak furniture business so the quality is there. i use a 140 cm double band andre gun back in hawaii. that will shoot anything. i caught hundreds of dinners with that gun and it costs a fraction of the price of other wood guns. hope that helps…. have fun and dive safe!!! mahalo from hawaii….
