Cutback Boot Camp

Today’s Boot Camp was about doing a clean cutback.  It’s pretty easy if your basic surfing techniques are mastered.  So as I’m riding from behind, I wait for the speed, then when the time is right, I scream “CUTBACK NOW!!!!!!”

After Hashimoto-san gets startled from hearing someone screaming in his ear from behind, he sets up the beautiful cutback.  At this time I’m screaming “YES, YES, YES!!!!”

I get really happy to see my students excel in surfing.  Surfing good takes time, and surfing cool takes even more time.  Our goal is to surf good and cool at the same time.  Everything is coming together now.

Mom and pup was sunbathing today while we were surfing.  Pretty cool to see.
