Authentic Samurai Breakfast

IMG_2891
omg, the japanese culture still seems to amaze me. when i woke up for breakfast yesterday morning, i was surprised to see my breakfast looking like art. it was so beautiful that i didn’t know where to start.
IMG_2885
so i started off with tea. the same kind of tea pot my grandma use to use. it’s so weird how all these memories return so clearly.
IMG_2890
this is breakfast for one. and yes, i don’t waste so i ate every single thing. it was amazing.
IMG_2889
if this is how the samurai use to eat a thousands of years ago, i want to be a samurai! haha.
IMG_2893
and the milk here is so good! i don’t drink milk back in hawaii, but in japan, i love it.
IMG_2847
when i walked into my room, i had to ask the staff, “is this real” and yes, it was real, and it was very sweet!
IMG_2897
it’s amazing how an onsen can heal your body and skin. i was soaking in it for a very long time and when i got out each time, i felt so good, and my skin felt like a baby. and it still does.
IMG_2830
coming out to the country in Mie-ken, i feel the fresh air. feels so good!
IMG_2875
and yes, the night at Non-chan’s was a night to remember. home style japanese cooking, and the kindest hospitality around. can’t wait to go back again!
IMG_2846 2
and yes, i think everybody should experience what it feels like to be treated like a king. it will teach you how to treat others. remember the movie i always recommend? “PAY IT FORWARD!”

My Japanese Aman Experience

IMG_2833
gosh, it feels really great being taken care of. from my arrival at the train station, to my check in experience, to my room, to the pool, and to everything that happens at Amanemu. the staff is amazing and offer the best service in the world.
IMG_2837
when i’m in the best hands like this, i sit back and observe every single detail. then i process everything and think how i can better myself. so when i go back to hawaii, i can give everybody the best experience too.
IMG_2881
i’ve never been in a hotel like this in japan before. to tell you the truth, i didn’t even know a perfect room like this even exists. right when i walked into it, i felt like a king.
IMG_2839
and omg, the view is specatular! breathtaking views with the most purest form of mother nature.
IMG_2868
then it’s dinner time, so Inaida-san takes me to his secret deepest spot in japan. locally grown food cooked to the best. it’s called Nonchan! i love places like this because this shows me the true authentic japanese cooking. just like how my grandma use to do it.
IMG_2873
it was so great to see Inaida-san and Yuki-san. we always have so much fun together. and always laughing so hard. and laughed even harder when Nonchan came out from behind the counter for the photo. haha!
IMG_2843
gosh, this room is amazing! a private onsen overlooking mother nature. i jumped into the onsen 5 times! and gosh, my skin feels so smooth!
IMG_2883
bedtime. i can’t read japanese but i’m sure this is a great message from a great hotel. my Aman experience has come to an end but i’m hoping to come back.
thank you Inaida-san for this wonderful Aman experience! great to see you and Yuki-san so healthy and happy. i always envy your wonderful dream life.
