When I first started blue water diving, I would be lucky to see one shark for the whole entire day. Now, I see sharks before we even enter the ocean. They are everywhere!
It’s good to have experienced free divers with you because everybody has to look out for each other. It’s not only for “shallow water blackout” anymore, it’s mostly for the aggressive sharks swarming your every move. The goal now is to shoot a fish and being able to retrieve it before the sharks do. It’s crazy!
Back at the yacht club we talk about the stories while cleaning up. Endless stories by the end of the day.
It was Joshua Moniz’s day as he was in the right place at the right time. How cool is this photo to see my 7th grade teacher Mr. Takabayashi in the background checking out our catch. Then my longtime surfer friend Kimo Gasper sharing his knowledge and experience to my Nephews. A very priceless moment.
This boy can hunt, clean, and cook. He also shows so much respect for the ocean and others. I get teary eyed thinking about how grown up he is now. He’s a man! OMG!
Back in the day when we use to go diving a lot. Spending so much time in the ocean learning off each other day by day. Josh and Seth are now my teachers. Their knowledge of the ocean is unbelievable. These 2 boys turned out to be true watermen. I better go because I’m getting teary eyed again.
