October 5, 2025 Hawaii Surf Report

Always waiting for the perfect wave…

Good morning 3:30am.
North shore 3-5′ and good.
Ala Moana waist high and clean.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Light trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Inside the Indies

I just love the history of surfing.

Passing by the Indies Trader and just reminiscing all the times we crossed paths 25 years ago in West Sumatra, Indonesia.  The best of the best surfers in the same lineup deep in the jungle.

I wish I could have taken Mayuki to Indonesia.  We could have surfed so many spots in a day.  The faster boat you have there, the more chances you will score.

I was so lucky to get a tour of the Indies Trader.  Pretty exciting to see and feel all the history.

Photos and memorabilia of discovering some of the best surf spots in the world.

Each photo has deep history and a long story.

I would love to charter a boat like this someday.  Invite the best of my friends and explorer the world.  Surf, dive, and have fun.

That dream hasn’t faded.  I still have hope that it will happen someday!

Saturday Morning Shots

Early morning Bowls.  Waist high and perfect.

Nice rides in the dark.

Maeda-san riding so many good waves.

He caught and rode 20 waves this morning.

The double rainbow was the bonus!
