January was epic for the East Side!
Good morning 4am.
North shore 8-10′.
Ala Moana waist to chest high.
Diamond Head shoulder high.
North/West winds at 10mph.
Sunny and cool.
Going to the sea.

Scary West Winds
West winds and North/East swell means good surf for the East shores. That’s where we went early this morning. I was surprised on how good it was!
Perfect waves for Boot Camp. Timing the take off is very important.
The bottom turn is also important. This is the perfect place to do a bottom turn.
Riding the inside and keeping low. This morning was the perfect day for high performance surfing. Secret spot and only 1 other surfer out. Mighty Mouse scored!
Big trees falling down all over the island yesterday and today. West winds are scary!!!
