been packing for my upcoming trip and can’t seem to remember everything. i always make a list on paper but i know for a fact i’ll be forgetting something. but as long as i have my passport, i’m getting on that airplane no matter what! all i need is my mind and the rest can come after….

since gaku opened up a few years ago, i haven’t had the chance to check it out. well, until last month when i went 2x in 1 week. want to hear what i think?

the sashimi has to be some of the best on the island. in fact, all the food on the menu was excellent. the atmosphere is good, the staff are friendly, and the food is amazing! if you like japanese food, gaku is the place to go. it’s located on king street and the phone number is: 589-1329. better call for reservations or you will wait for hours outside….

i’m craving japanese food again!!! let’s go to gaku!

the other day i was on the west side, i seen a duck on the street stopping traffic. i pulled up, shot it with my speargun, threw it in my cooler, then took it to my chinese friends restaurant and had him make me peking duck. it was so good!!! hey, i’m only joking….

meet Wada-san and Hottori-san from shimane, japan. they boarded a fishing boat that left shimane on january 10th, caught 40 tons of tuna, and stopped over in hawaii for a few days. we surfed 4 hours at bowls this afternoon and the waves were so fun! they leave 2 days later on the boat heading back to japan. it will take them 2 weeks going at speeds at 10 knots. if any one of them want to trade places with me, let’s do it!!! thanks guys for a fun afternoon!!!
