Amateur to Champion in 3 years!!!

after seeing nao omura grow into a fine young lady, and a champion surfer, i’m curious to see how many titles she can win. great style, and great power makes a great surfer. Go-Nao!!!
i drove to kugenuma one day in 2008 to have lunch with nao. back then, she was 15 years ago with big dreams. i shot a little interview and while i was talking to her, i could see a young confident, smart, and happy girl. now it’s 3 years later and she’s still confident, smart, and happy. and to add to that, the 2010 JPSA women’s champion and Rookie of the year. check out the young nao omura…

Longest Rides?

yesterday was a great day! got to surf with 4 cool guys, hang out, and hang ten….

this was the first time i had so many boards on my car. i’m glad the boards didn’t fly away!!!

To Koshiro-san, Murakami-san, Takagaki-san, and Setoguchi-san: i had a great time surfing with you guys and i learned something very important. i learned how important lifetime friends are. you guys have such a great bond and i envy that. thank you very much for a wonderful day….

i think these guys all caught their longest wave in their lives. where in japan can you ride a wave for more than 30 seconds? the waves were glassy, the waves were perfect, and the waves were long!!!
