good morning. hey guys, summers almost over. better get out and enjoy it. i got 6 days left here so i’m going to enjoy every 24 hours of every single day. small waves in town but perfect for the groms. heading down to kewalo’s to surf/dive. hope you have a nice day….

wanted to thank kaz sano for sending me these photos he took yesterday. while shun was surfing, i was catching dinner…. diving in town is pretty challenging because the fish are super smart. this is a lucky catch….

shun hit his hand on the reef and “vana” got stuck deep inside. but that didn’t stop this tough boy from surfing another round right after. thanks again kaz for the photos….

wow, what a sad thing to see. this huge boat ran aground at the mystical, magical padang padang in bali. probably one of the biggest environmental disasters in bali. if you haven’t been to padang, you probably wouldn’t understand the beauty of that place. we use to go there even on the small days to hang out. been there over 100x and if i was to see this in person, it would bring tears to my eyes. i hope they contain the oil that’s spilling over the reefs and get that piece of crap fishing boat off the reef soon. i’m going to bali in september and if i see this, it would ruin my trip….

happy sunday evening. started off a pretty mellow day. headed off to do some shopping for my japan trip. first stop, wallmart…

when my japanese friends come to hawaii, i always try to make them do thing for themselves. that’s the only way they will learn english and learn how to be independent in hawaii. so today was shun’s turn. he bought some gifts to take back to japan. when we went to the check out counter, i told him “your on your own”… he said “ehhh??” shun got so nervous and couldn’t stand still. but shun did a great job…. now he can shop at wallmart by himself… step by step….

then it was my turn. for some reason, i misplaced my ipod. i’ve been searching my house for the past 2 weeks looking for it. spent over 10 hours digging and searching with no results. for me, time is money so i gave up and just bought a new one. and i’m pretty dam happy about it because i deserve it…

shun and i went diving at kewalo’s and shun speared this big marlin. look how happy he was…. wait, i’m just joking….. we pulled up for a surf and seen this fishing boat that caught this huge marlin. so we stopped for a photo…. shun ended up surfing and hayato and i ended up diving. we poked some fish so it’s all good….

talking about poking fish. check out this 18lbs omilu gareth sugihara poked in town a few weeks ago. pretty sick…

i hope he got these fish printed gyokatu style because you ain’t going to catch fish like this in town too often…. good job gareth….
**plans for tomorrow? dive and surf. can’t wait…

good sunday morning. gosh, how time flies. in 1 week, i’ll be in japan already. looking forward to it but still have so many things i have to do. and so many things i want to do. ahhhh… well, it’s 7am and the waves are small but looking super clean. waist/chest high in town with 15 guys out at bowls. gosh, it was so fun out there yesterday. but shun told me that he wants to surf kewalo’s so kewalo’s it is. the waves are a little too small for me so i might have to do a short dive out there while shun’s surfing…. oh, i’m still tripping out about that owl we seen in the mountain yesterday. some of my friends emailed me saying that they didn’t know we have owls here. i didn’t know either. trippy…

no this is not a fire, this is the beautiful sunset yesterday afternoon looking from champa thai. the only thing that was on fire was my mouth after eating the beef salad there…[:????????????:][:????????????:][:????????????:]
