Hawaii's Clark Little Photography….

good evening. small waves but such a picture perfect day here. jumped in kewalo’s on high tide and had fun. a short 20 minute session made my day… have a great evening…

filled up my gas tank today. $61.60 and my tank wasn’t even empty. i remember when i first got my car not too long ago, i paid $42 for a full tank. and it’s forecasted to go up to $10/gallon. oh my gosh… i better buy a bicycle….

i thought it would be a good day to fix minor things on my boat so i went to buy some parts at windward boats. gosh, driving through that parking lot is hard for me. i feel like a kid in a toy store… i want that, that, and that mommy…. shut up kirby… back to reality….

if i drive to kailua, my mind is set on eating kalapawai deli for lunch. so healthy and so good…. i wish we had one in town….

check out this photo i seen on the wall in kalapawai deli. clark little took this. clark hasn’t been shooting for too long but through my eyes, he’s the best underwater shorebreak photographer in the world. his work is just awesome. super artistic… i was staring at this photo for a pretty long time…. trying to figure out how the heck he took it…

how crazy is this??? if you don’t know who clark little is, he’s big wave surfer brock little’s brother. clark was one of the first guys surfing huge waimea bay shorebreak. yeah, the guy on hawaii postcards and calendars…. crazy talent in that family….

he’s got his own website and if i were you, i would check it out. have an empty wall that needs a photo? this one will keep your guests in awe… CLICK HERE FOR CLARKLITTLE.COM….
**oh my gosh.. i just turned on the tv now and there are some MMA fights on channel 9. yeah, prime time tv. kimbo slice is the main event. heard a lot about kimbo but haven’t seen him fight before so i’m stoked…. tune in….

Learn English in Chiba, Japan….

good morning. 6:30am and once again, small surf. waist high in town with 10 guys already out at rockpiles, 15 out at bowls, and a lot more scattered along ala moana park. see some waist high waves out at laniakea with a couple stand up paddle guys on it. nothing going on so might go jump in the water to surf and shoot. have a nice day….

hey, wanted to congratulate my friend jasmin for starting her own english school in chiba, japan. jasmine’s been doing it for years so she knows her stuff. so if you living in the chiba area, jasmine will have you speaking english in no time…. congratulations jas….

Live Music Thursday Nights…

good evening. beautiful day with some fun surf. drove by diamond head and they were re-paving the road so half the parking was closed. looked out in the ocean and not too many surfers out. maybe 5 japanese out at cliffs, and nobody at lighthouse. so lighthouse it was. some fun in the sun… south swell coming monday so stay tuned. have a nice and safe weekend….

last night was the first time i’ve been in snappers at the discovery bay. that place is pretty cool. cold beers and great live music…

throughout the years, russ always talked to me about music. last night was the first time i ever heard russ play. and it was on a stage in a bar with a lot of people. that was pretty cool. he was jamming… his niece was jamming too and had such an awesome voice. she’s 19 years old and on her way to fame. congratulations you two!! great job….

growing up with my old time friends, we always supported each other in what ever road we took. through the good times and the bad, we all stuck together. i think that’s pretty dam special…. thanks russ for bringing us back together. if you didn’t play music last night, i wouldn’t know the next time i would have seen everybody. by the way, the house was packed last night. i’ll keep you posted when russ and ciara play again…

what a small world… the next band to play after russ them was plumpus. lead singers george and matt puter are my surf buddies…. i was so stoked to bump into them and be able to watch them perform…. the last time i seen them play live was in the middle of the ocean on the 4th of july 2 years ago. yeah, a floating concert. probably have it again this 4th of july. will keep you posted…… you want to rock???? click here and check out PLUMPUS…. or check out their MYSPACE for upcoming gigs….
