56 Waves After

Surfed early this morning with these 2 cool surfers.  First time surfing in Hawaii, and first time meeting each other.  But when you’re in the ocean, you instantly connect.  Lots of good rides, smiles, and laughter.

Hayase-san came to Hawaii yesterday for the very first time.  And this was his very first surf.  It’s a really good feeling coming from cold to warm.  Welcome to paradise!

Kenta-san’s goal is to ride a short board.  So today was a day to transition.  One size smaller board which will make your rides two times more exciting.

Kenta-san surfed 3 sessions with me totaling 56 waves!  That’s pretty unbelievable!   But 56 waves later, his level went way up!

Thank you boys for the wonderful morning!  Hope you enjoyed surfing in Hawaii!

Went back out this afternoon with two frequent Hawaii travelers.  Today was their first time meeting which was cool.  There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the same wave.  What a wonderful day!!!

Fujiki-san at sunrise.  Only a surfer knows the feeling…

Good morning 3:45am.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head waist to chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds getting stronger at 20mph.
Sunny and warm with rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Ocean Cleansing

This morning the waves were very small so it was time to fly!  It’s pretty amazing how a knee high wave that doesn’t break can feel so good.

The conditions were absolutely perfect!

My baby is looking very young and beautiful.

I haven’t foiled in a while so the workout was intense.  After a couple of waves, I couldn’t breathe.

Surfing has made me a lot more comfortable on the foil.  The speed and flow is double the pleasure.

The ocean will cleanse you.  Just dip your head underwater and when you come up, you will be reborn!
