Morning Glass

We paddled out in the dark this morning and the conditions were perfect!  And so were the waves!

This is a surfers dream.  The morning glass.

Matsui-san’s first surf in Hawaii.  Longest rides of his life.

Matsui-san usually surfs beach breaks in Japan so it was super cool to see him enjoying the reef waves in Hawaii.  It’s a very different feeling.

A Magic Board will Change your Life…

Thank you Matsui-san!  Excellent surfing and happy smiles all morning!  Keep on looking forward.

Classic Japan…

Good morning 3:45am.

Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

2010 Mentawai/Indonesia

I forgot to post this photo of the huge Ulua that swam right under us at Bowls.  The ocean is alive!  And remember, we are the visitors…

Super stoked when I came across this photo.  Joshua Moniz paddling out for his first Eddie Aikau contest at Waimea Bay.  Tony, Micah, Seth, and I right behind him for this historical day.

The 2010 Mentawai/Indonesia Go-Naminori boat trip was one to remember.  Big fish, big barrels, big hearts, big parties, big smiles, and big memories.  Tokura-san was the birthday boy who got the best barrel 60 years after on the day he was born.  It happened at HT’s and we all witnessed it from the boat.  You should have seen us celebrate that night.  I still have a hangover from that.  Haha.
