I asked Honouliwai to smile for me.  Instead, he stuck out his tongue.  Haha.  This kid is so cool!  

Back to Japan.  There is a restaurant where you can go to the counter and choose any dish you want.  This is my dream lunch!

And there are restaurants where eating whale is like eating spam in Hawaii.  It’s culture so you must try it.  And if you don’t want to try it, it’s ok.  Just don’t complain about it please.  

And there are restaurants that have an Asian influence.  This dish was amazing. 

And this raw liver was my favorite.  I have no idea which animal this came out of, but it melted in my mouth.  

Where ever I am in this world, family means everything to me!  I am very thankful to have such wonderful people in my life…

Good morning 5am.
Ala Moana waist to chest high sets and good.
Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.
Trade winds back at 20mph.
Sun, clouds, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.

I spent the morning surfing in the ocean, and the afternoon with family in the mountains.  This is called “balance.”  

Back to Japan.  There is a very long and very beautiful river up in the mountains of Wakayama.  This place is magical because of it’s scenery, and it’s pureness.  The river water from the mountain is so clean that you can drink it!

Then there are these hotspots of hot springs.  Yes, the river is freezing cold, and you will find a hotspot with boiling water.  So you make a little pool with rocks and that’s your natural foot onsen.  

First you do yoga, then meditate, then get ready for the natural freezing cold ice bath.  

OMG, I couldn’t feel any parts of my body.  It was completely frozen stiff.  Luckily I made it out before hyperthermia set in.  

Than I sat on the side of the river soaking my feet into the natural hot springs.  There was nobody else there so I went in naked.  Haha.  Just joking…
