Hawaii’s Favorite: Aku Bone

Saint wanted to surf with me so I put him on my board and started to paddle out to Queen’s.  On the way out, he tried to jump off the surfboard so I turned around.  It’s too dangerous when a baby tries to jump off your board.  Maybe next time Saint!

I haven’t done this in a long time.  Hang out with family and friends down at Waikiki all afternoon.

Waikiki is the best place in the world to “people watch.”  You can see the most interesting things happening all day long.

Spending the afternoon down there reminded me why people from all over the world loves Hawaii.  I would too.

My nephew rented out this catamaran so we had a private charter out to sea.

It was so relaxing to be on another boat.  I could just sit back and enjoy the ride.  The captain has all the stress and responsibility so I just closed my eyes, smelt the fresh air, and did some meditation.

There was going to be a festival happening in Waikiki so I wanted to get out before the traffic jam.

I’ve been eating super good and healthy recently.  Tonights menu was aku bone, opihi, and tofu.

Down to the bone.  Gochisousama deshita!

Sunburn Madness

Light winds and clean conditions this morning.

Perfect for Rikita-san’s first surf after 4 years.  So happy to surf with him again.

Huge rainbows continue.

I was surprised how cool and calm Rikita-san was today.  Good surfing and good smile.

I saw more barrels today!

Family and friends is everything.

I’m so happy Princess Leia likes Uncle Kirby.  Haha.

Spent 5 hours down at Waikiki.  Food, family, friends, birthday, surf, catamaran, whales, turtles, and memories.  Another sunburnt day in Hawaii.

Happy Birthday to my nephew Noah!  Love you!
