Yesterday Once More:  Photos 

This is a cool photo.  A nice bottom turn, sprays off the surfboard looking like a barrel, and right into the morning sunrise.   Photos like this makes me happy. 

After all the wind and rain for the past month, it was nice to finally get a sunny and glassy day.  

Surfing in board shorts in the winter season of Hawaii.  Freedom!

I surfed 3 rounds and I saw barrels in all 3 rounds.  

And if you get low to your board, you can fit in those barrels.

Style is everything. 

After 4 years, Rikita-san got to finally pick up his brand new Akila Aipa twin fin.  It was hanging on my wall as art for the past 4 years so now my house feels empty.  Anyway, we will test that board out today!

Good morning 4am.
North shore waist to chest high sets and good.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and little bumpy.
Light trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.

The morning started off early like this.  It hasn’t been this nice in a very long time.  

This girl is so stoked on surfing!  She’s surfing, catching waves, and smiling the whole time!  Look how beautiful it was this morning.  It looked like a painting.

Then took the dentist boys surfing.  

Yosuke-san figured out how to ride the waves perfectly and did it over and over.

So happy to see the Rikita-san family back in Hawaii!  The last time they came together was 5 years ago so the little Princess was still a thought in their mind.  Now she’s 3 years old and a beautiful little girl…

Since being a Mom, Toshimi-san couldn’t surf.  You should have seen her big smile after she caught her first wave.  And the cool thing is she was surfing better than she ever did.  So amazing. 

That yacht is still stuck on the reef at Honolua Bay.  They are trying but can’t get it off the reef.  If they don’t get it off before the strong West winds and huge North/West swell comes this week, that boat will be totally destroyed!

Anyway, surfed 3 rounds so pretty sunburnt to go into my sauna.  Going to take a cold shower and fall fast asleep…
