Back to our boat trip afternoon session.  There were 5 of us so we drove around looking for an empty spot and found one.  Got the boards and cameras out and went to work.

Pretty soon I’m going to teach this girl how to get barreled.  She’s almost there!

I caught a wave, did a turn right in front of him, and then I surfed around this huge tunnel.  Haha.  Just joking.  But isn’t this photo amazing???  I love it!

No Rain, No Rainbows.

Good morning 4am.
North shore up from yesterday. Chest high.
Ala Moana knee high.
Diamond Head shoulder high.
Strong trade winds at 30mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sea.

Rewind back to yesterday:  Town was sunny and warm!  I took the girls surfing and I warmed up on my foil.

If it weren’t for the foil, there is no way I could take photos like this.  It’s taken from higher up so you can see the whole view.  Check out my student flying on her magic board!

And did you see that huge bright double rainbow in the morning?  OMG!  We surfed again in the afternoon but that’s another story coming soon.

Play today:  I don’t know how we got up after such a long day yesterday.  But we did and this was the treat.  Checking the waves and enjoying the sunrise.

Today’s Boot Camp training was all about “low and slow.”

I sat on the beach for 3 hours coaching just like how I got coached.  Of course I’d rather be in the ocean, but this video training seems to be working really good.  She’s a brand new surfer girl!

The past week I spent 5 days on the beach for hours and hours in the rain freezing cold in a tshirt. Today I was prepared but it didn’t rain of course.  Haha.
