Textbook Surfing Goals

My goal for this girl was to have her be able to paddle out to any spot, figure out the lineup, and catch a set from the peak.  Timing is everything and now she’s figured it out.

My goal for this girl was to have her be able to do a perfect stylish cutback.  Arms in the right place, body twisting the right way, putting the board on the rail, and throwing spray.  It doesn’t get any better than this.

Good job girls!

And thank you Matchi for the beautiful photos!

February 24, 2023 Hawaii Surf Report

Yesterday once more:  Best Spot on the Island!

Good morning 4:10am.
North shore very small and windy. Coming up tomorrow.
Ala Moana knee high and good.
Diamond Head head high and wild.
Strong trade winds at 30mph.
Sun, showers, and huge double rainbows.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Double Boat Trip Hawaii

This morning was a gamble.  It was either drive to the North shore which might be flat, or go out to the South shore to look for waves which might be flat too.  I thought looking for waves on a boat rather than a car would be more soothing.

And watching the sunrise was very soothing.  I really missed this.

We drove around looking for waves and found some nice shoulder high East swells that we enjoyed all to ourselves.  The girls were screaming like little kids all morning.

Then some friends from the North shore came to town and joined us for our 2nd round boat trip.  We scored again!

Then ended the day with an ice cold Bikini Blonde.  I have 47 clips on my camera but I’m too tired to download it now.  Gonna sleep and get back to it tomorrow.  So for now, goodnight.
