Beautiful Okinawa….

i was on the train the other day and seen this poster of okinawa. finally, i’m on my way….

josh lacar is down in okinawa scoring back to back typhoon swells. a whole bunch of galleries coming soon. this is just a sneak peak….

and this is a sneak peak of typhoon 15 the other day….. check out the galleries that’s coming up on GO-NAMINORI.COM….

and another sneak peak. this years typhoon season was great!!! and it’s not even over yet…

and check what’s brewing down in the indian ocean. should score insane waves in bali next week. but first is okinawa. gosh, the waves keep following me. but it’s all good…..

My New Waterproof Toy…

tokura-san, shinpei, hayato, and uske all had the same pocket digital cameras in the philippines. the one that is waterproof and shockproof. they would have it in their pockets when they surfed and it took video too. well, i’m only human. i had to get the same one. well, actually, the newer model just came out so i’m charging the battery right now….

this is it!!! this will be in my pocket both in and out of the water in okinawa and bali. get ready for some trippy photos to come…. i got to go read the manual. good night….

Excess Baggage Crap…

so here it is, after dealing with philippines and seair airlines, here is what to expect if you go to cloud 9. from japan to cebu, expect to pay $260 for a surfboard bag with 3 boards in it. if you take more, it will cost you more. from cebu to sairgao, the same bag, only $10. the same back. and from cebu to narita, i paid $110 for 3 boards and there is no way around it. “i don’t have money”, “what”, or “your so cute” doesn’t work. i tried it all. haha…
***tips. philippines airlines doesn’t care what you got in your board bag. you will pay about $20 for every extra kilo. so keep your board bag light. put your wetsuit, towels, fins, and leashes in your check in baggage because they don’t over charge for that. and if you have one of those new board bags with those fancy wheels on it, forget it, it’s too heavy. unless you want to pay extra for the wheels. get the lightest board bag from your sponsor or buy one. it will save you big money. the next time i go to the philippines, i’m taping my 3 boards together and checking it in just like that. if it dings, it’s still cheaper to have it repaired.
***i’m going to bali next week using japan airlines so will let you know how much they rape me for. i got 3 boards, my camera stuff, and all my diving stuff. estimated: 60kilos. ouch… or itai…. or better yet, if somebody out there has a friend at the check in counter at kansai airport, set me up. then i will be your best friend…
***and one other thing. about me getting food poisoning. thanks for the concern but it could happen anywhere. people ask me if the philippines is safe. yes it is. i would go back there any day. anytime you eat in other countries, you just have to be careful. next time i go back to cloud 9, i’m eating every meal at sagana resort. it’s like eating at a five star hotel. and as for your safety in the philippines, it’s super safe. a lot safer than walking down honolulu chinatown at night…..

thanks craig for sending me photos of your pets. please hide them from the hunters because that’s a lot of pork. and stop feeding them too much because they are almost getting as big as kalua…. oink oink….
