Loco Moco's and Chili Plate's
omg, the waves and weather was absolutely perfect again! super sunny and super good waves all day long. surfed 2 rounds and caught some perfect waves. what a great summer!
good for surf, and good for diving. seen these 2 guys going out for a dive as i was going out for a surf. it’s times like this i wish i had another one of me. i want to do both. haha.
Ayaka-chan is only 14 years old and surfs so well. i had such a great time with her and her father Uetani-san surfing all morning.
then we went to rainbows to eat loco moco’s and a chili plate. hawaiian surf culture restaurant that has been here for 80 years and will probably be here forever.
panorama ala moana. just one of my favorite offices in the world.
another long day and more long days to come in this beautiful hot summer days! good night!
Big Boy Surfers
had a great time with Urakami-san and Masamune-kun the other. looking at this photo, you wouldn’t know which is the father and which is the son right? 13 year old Masamune-kun is on the left and he’s already bigger than his father. such a big boy with a big heart. opps, i can’t call him a boy anymore, i have to start to call him a man. he’s almost bigger than me! omg!!!
Urakami-san caught some really good waves. his family really loves hawaii and are having a very long nice vacation!
i remember the time i took Masamune-kun surfing for the first time last year. the smile that came out of this kid was amazing. i could tell he loved the feeling and still does.
a very smart kid, a great surfer, and a great future ahead! see you tomorrow again Masamune-kun!
and surfing with Sasaki-san was awesome. after talking and surfing with him, i don’t know who loves surfing more. him or me? it’s that close.
i love this bottom turn! Sasaki-san pushing the rail to the limit!
and bottom turn ready to hit the lip.
luckily again i had my camera and didn’t lose it. if i lost photos like this, i would be so sad. these memories are for both surfer and i. as a surfer, i understand how important photos are, and as a photographer, i understand how important it is not to miss the moment. and this is the moment!
last, wanted to thank Jikou-san for these wonderful gifts from japan! so happy!!!!
