tube time! haha! i’m always looking for the barrel no matter where i am. and yesterday, i found one! so happy!

Miwa-san caught a few waves. stepped on sea urchin. went back to the boat because she was in pain. i told her, come catch and wave and you’ll be fine.” she came back out, caught this wave, and she was fine. haha. it’s crazy how surfing heals all wounds. super nice wave Miwa-san!

i surfed with Takahashi-san 3 times this week at secret spots. after yesterday, he renamed one of my spots. now, it’s officially called “Magic Point!” haha. here is Takahashi-san feeling the magic! so stoked to see him surfing so good!

going down a smooth wave, getting speed, and doing a turn on a glassy face is a surfers dream. it feels so dam good!

surf for 3 hours, come in and find cold beers in the cooler. a perfect ending to a perfect session.

found a new dive spot. there are schools of fish everywhere! look at that ball of fish!

i could shoot one of these with my eyes closed. fish everywhere!

this spot is about 30-40′ deep so it’s a good place to teach people how to free dive and spearfish. then after the session, you can take home your fresh dinner. can’t beat that!
oh, haven’t said this for a while “thank you all for checking out my blog. it’s all of you that have been keeping me going for the past 10 years straight every single day. i can’t wait when i have the time to look back into my own life. i’m sure there will be a lot of laughs!

it was another beautiful day! a day i took off from work to hang out with my awesome friends. we left a little earlier this morning because the morning sessions are always better.

paddled out to perfect glassy conditions. the kind of conditions surfers travel all the way to indonesia for. it’s been like this every single day!

none of us are competing against each other. we just support and encourage each other. cheering on each other from start to finish. here is Naozo-san with the perfect point right.

i’m so happy that i finally grew up and got my priorities right. making the time to spend with my friends was one of my new years resolutions. so far, that’s exactly what i’m doing. and i’m loving each moment.

Miwa-san, Naozo-san, and Takahashi-san are wonderful surfers i’ve known for a very long time. we’ve had some great memories here in hawaii and there in okinawa. cheers friends!

Miwa-san hit the reef and had a lot of sea urchin in her foot. she caught a wave after that and totally forgot about the pain. haha. and i’m sure a cold beer helped too.

then we went to watch the whales. so many all over the place. it’s peak whale watching season in hawaii!

another happy day for Takahashi-san. he was surfing so good again today. towards the end of the session, he said “wow, i should become pro surfer!!!” haha.

another day we will not forget. the stories will carry over year to year.

then went to have a wonderful relaxing lunch. listing to Takahashi-san’s stories and laughing so much.

the special of the day was the grilled mahimahi plate. it was so good!

then as soon as we get into the car, Takahashi-san falls asleep so fast. i thought he was joking!

then he let out 3 loud snores and woke up. then the jokes started up again. haha. went shopping, ate shave ice, and ended the perfect day in paradise.
