Going to surf.
Have a wonderful day!

Costco Deflation

early morning session today and the waves were super good again!  big take offs and lots of smiling faces.

we went walking around Costco after.  a surfboard for $79.97???  how?  so it must cost about $3/each to make right???

and a boogie board for $19.97???  what happened to inflation???  it’s more like deflation!

ok, i wouldn’t recommend anyone using these masks they sell at Costco or any where else in the world.  i’ve tried one before for fun and it wasn’t fun.

people actually drown themselves and die when using these types of masks.  i can’t believe they still sell these.  after a major lawsuit or two, you won’t see these around for very long.

we went back out this afternoon to Bowls and the waves were super good!  as i was paddling out, i got a glimpse of Hikaru-san ripping a nice glassy wave!

waiting with the girls and telling them my stupid jokes.  this is the fun part for me.  haha…

but when a set comes, the jokes stop and it’s time to surf.  red, blue, white, emerald, and aqua.  this whole photo is like a rainbow…

2022 WSL @ Ala Moana Bowls

yesterday was a very beautiful day in Hawaii.  and the waves couldn’t have been any better for the WSL contest at Ala Moana Bowls!

and it was pretty cool to see family and friends supporting all the local surfers.

glad to see Coach Rainos Hayes back giving valuable tips to Joshua.

it’s either me or my sister in the front row waiting for the boys to come back.  this time my sister beat me there.

having a near death moment can do one of two things.  it could make you scared and traumatize you for whole life.  OR, it could make you brave, strong, smart, and sweeter than ever.  Joshua Moniz chose the second.

good friends from childhood sharing their dream.  Kylen Yamakawa and Josh surfing in the semi-finals against each other at the best wave on the South Shore.  dreams do come true…

Kylen and Joshua’s support group.  this day was about family, friends, sportsmanship, and most important, love for one another…
