when you have 5 surfers paddling for the same waist high wave, that means it’s very aggressive and crowded.  where was everybody when the waves were 10′?

we went back out for Round 2 this afternoon and the waves and crowd was 100% better.  longer cleaner rides, and only 2 surfers per wave.  this was one of the two.

ever since i took my 2 students out to the biggest day in the history at Bowls, they are now very brave.  waves like this are too easy for them. i don’t have to say “GO” anymore, they just GO!!!

maintenance never ends on boats.  as soon as you finish something, it’s on to the next.  i went to lube everything up in the hot sun.  i was sweating more than i sweat in my sauna.

i’m always checking to see if everything is in check.  you can’t have anything go wrong when you’re between islands.  it’s a matter of life or death…

i’ve been hearing from people that HIC/Kerry Tokoro has a new model. it’s called the JM model.  JM for Joshua Moniz?  i think so!

pro surfers have so many boards so they mark the good ones with alphabets or numbers.  Joshua marked this one with $$.  that means “MONEY!”  i can’t wait to try it!!!
