Island Style Grass Fed and Saying Goodbye

219

back to our breakfast.  pork shabushabu ramen, fresh opihi, and grass fed beef.  i felt kind of bad eating this kind of food first thing in the morning.  only Kings eat like this… always  breathtaking drives.  everywhere you look, it’s blue ocean or green mountain.   and if you know where to jump in for a snorkel, you will find some island treasure… and also looking deep into the side roads.  this is the part of exploring i like… i pull up to Cousin Dino’s house and the first thing he says is “wait, i get something for you!”  he opens his refrigerator and gets out a fresh slab of deer he just recently hunted.  Dino is the kind of guy that gives and gives.  that’s the true meaning of “Aloha.”   this is island style refrigerator.  fresh from the mountains… clean it up, then dress it with rosemary.  a meal for me to bring back to Oahu.  thank you Dino for always been such a giving person!   then driving around just taking in the fresh air… and spectacular views… then the sad part of leaving…but the happy part is that i know i’ll be back soon.  very soon…
