one of Kelia’s photographers friends took this photo. it was the early morning we all arrived at the contest on the first day. Seth was out warm up surfing and right when he came in, we were all there. seeing your family for the first time in another country is special. not just for him, but for us too. this is just years of love that’s still flourishing till this day… yes everyone, let’s KEEP IT Simple! i saw this sign every morning and that’s how i played my days out… Yasin isn’t only our driver, he’s our bodyguard. i feel totally safe with him where ever i go. here he is carrying Tony and my new foils. totally safe in his hands.. if there was a photographer that followed Tony and i around 30 years ago, you would freak at the kind of things we use to do. or i mean the kinds of things Tony use to make me do. i was a young kid, he was my teacher. when he said go, i went. sometimes at 1′ Diamond Head, and sometimes at 20’s outer reefs. i would have rather died then to pull back. that’s the kind of trust i had and still have in Tony… but when Tony foils the close to me, i get scared. he’s run me over many times before. and on this trip, he ran over an Australian foiler. scary… luckily, we all came out of this trip with getting hurt. so to teach you something about Tony, he will never stop for anyone. so if you see him coming your way, you better run or hide…
