good evening. last night i was so excited on going back in the ocean that i couldn’t sleep. well, not in the ocean, but on the ocean. got up at 4am for an all day trolling session with my brother and our friends. i can’t say our friends names because they called in sick to work. haha…
so here are the lures. throw these on expensive fishing poles and wait for the fish to bite one….
i am so impatient. that’s why i don’t really like to go trolling. i go once in every 6 years and today was that once. i’d rather be diving. but with one eye out of commission, i can’t be complaining….. but after the first hour on the boat with no fish, i was over it. so i took a little nap….
ok, when your out in the nature, you don’t know what you’ll see. today, we seen a lot of dolphins. i even got some nice video clips of them swimming with our boat. then the bad boys came out. yeah, pilot whales. and a lot of them. these whales are bad news because they hunt the fish we are trying to catch. so where ever there are pilot whales, there are no fish around. so ZERO fish is what we caught after 7 hours on the boat. look closely to the far right side of this photo. do you see that island? that is oahu. yes, oahu. we were so far out that we almost reached molokai. what a long day…
washing the boat. this is the worst part of fishing, especially when you don’t catch anything all day….
we had 7 fishing poles on the boat and no fish. not even a bite. another boat came in when we did and they didn’t catch anything too. i guess today was a bad day for fishing. oh well, there’s always tomorrow…. wanted to thank mark and jack for taking us out on their boat today. that’s not their real names. i just don’t want them to get fired from their jobs because of me. when they both go into work tomorrow with sunburned bodies, i think they will get fired themselves…. haha…
