good evening. what a nice day it was today. i drove to kaneohe to check out kyle and some of the new upcoming hawaii skin diver tv footage. it’s going to be awesome. then headed to kailua to stop by island snow, then to waimanalo to my friend abe’s nursery, then to hawaii kai to get new license plates for my car, then ate kim chee 2, and just came home. wow, such a long day! but the drive was awesome, especially with 2 eyes. i’m super tired and ready for bed. i might go hunting with my friends tomorrow up deep in the mountain. going to try to catch a pig. want to see it on youtube? might be ok for some people and might not be ok for some people. maybe i’ll video it, maybe not. anyway, i’m going to suck down an ice cold beer and hit the sack. goodnight….

The book you are holding was written by a remarkable young man, who
calls himself Nohea. He is just fifteen years old.
i was born in a small town in dominican republic north coast an we had no

Nohea has been fending for himself since he was five years old. At twelve
he was abducted by a group of men, raped and beaten over many days, and
left for dead, yet he survived. He has been in and out of a broken foster care
system, in homes where he continued to experience abuse. He has decided
he is safer on the street.
Two bright lights in Nohea???s life have been a long-distance ???dad??? and

The Wizard of Harlem is only partly fiction. It is based on Nohea???s actual
experiences, mixed in with his hopes and dreams. As we read, may our
