Power from the Ocean to the Mauna…

251

if you do a little research, you can find a dream house to rent for a couple days.

just bring your food and fun…

and the key to a good place is comfortability.  just like this…

and if you do a little research, you can find food right from the ocean.  Takami-san and Toda-san understand that very well.

this is called “opihi.”  it’s the Hawaiian Abalone and tastes so good.  people literally die trying to look for this.

put some butter and some shoyu and you have a delicacy…

once again, people die searching for these prized opihi.  we ate and ate until our stomachs were completely satisfied…

then watched the blazing red sunset…

since Toda-san and Takami-san live on the base of Mt. Fuji, i really wanted to take them to the Mauna.  so yeah, we finally made it there!

it’s my second time and not my last.  i didn’t learn a thing in my high school history class about the Hawaiian culture, but now i’m learning a lot…

chicken skin and tears is what you will feel when you hear the message being sent out…

and the hula and chanting doesn’t get any more real than this.  it’s amazing…
