this trip wasn’t planned at all. i knew we were going somewhere, but didn’t know when or where until the last minute. Naoka, Takahashi-san, and Mayo-chan know how i travel so everybody was ready and on standby. and when it was time, nobody showed up late. because they also know i won’t wait for anyone. once i leave the dock, i ain’t turning back…
i crossed the Molokai Channel many of times. mostly it’s wild, and seldom we get lucky and have it calm the whole way like this. i felt like we were gliding. and look at that amazing sunrise! i’ve never seen one like this before…
but i seen this before. birds flying with us and enjoying the ride…
then we arrive and you feel like you just entered Jurassic Park. it’s breathtaking…
you won’t want to miss a moment of the most beautiful place in the world.
on the way there, we stopped by to pick up some dinner. my main focus was that big red Kumu so i kept on looking for one. and when i found it, i didn’t take my eyes of it.
located 30′ and i wasn’t going to miss this one. it was a present for my Molokai cousin…
Naoka speared his very first fish and was so stoked! good job!
fish was our main meal, so we started off with these appetizers. so good!
then Takahashi-san showed us his Iron Chef skills and pulled out a fish out of the cooler and made sashimi for us…
fresh from the ocean, right to our mouths, and washed down with an ice cold beer. you can’t beat that! thousands of more photos coming but first i better get back to today before i forget what happened…
when ever i travel, i always wake up super early to watch every sunrise. so even though i hardly had any sleep last night, my eyes opened at 5am, i grabbed my surfboard, and watched the sunrise with Naoka. it was only us, the sun, a rainbow, and many classic moments…
and guess where i watched the sunset today? yes, right at Bowls with Ryu-san! he came in today from Japan, i came in today from Molokai, and we enjoyed the amazing sunset session…
