Benji Brand texted me and said “hey uncle, i got fish for you.” then he drives from the North Shore all the way to my house to drop it off. such a good kid. 
this is called a “Mu” and is the hardest fish to spear in Hawaii. they are very smart and you have to dive deep and try to outsmart them. in this case, Benji went down 60′ and came up the winner. if it wasn’t for this pandemic, Benji would be practicing surfing on small waves. but now, he’s learning how to survive…
Benji gave me a Mu and a Omilu. the cool thing about it is he scaled it and cleaned it for me. that’s how i taught my nephews how to give away fish so i’m sure they must have told him “if you give my uncle fish, you better clean it. and better clean it good!” haha… good boys!
