good morning from chiba. it’s 6am and i can’t believe i got up so early. had a blast last night with haru-san from bond surf. we were talking story and people just started popping up. next thing you know, there was a little party going on. i was stoked to see ushikoshi last night. i’ve known him since i’ve been coming to japan. it was cool talking about the good old days….
haru-san has the coolest shop. it’s the first time i’ve been in there and not the last. i had a great time last night. thanks haru-san for the sushi, beers, and fun….
oh, i wanted to say thank you to iwao from HIC for checking out my blog. i hope we can surf together someday. and also wanted to say thanks to takeshi-san. i’m so stoked that i met somebody that cares so much about the surf culture in japan. and somebody that wants to spread the aloha….
the other day i was at the dove factory, i walked in on a photo shoot. great model, great wetsuit, and great company. dove for life…
and last, i have a hard time finding shoes in japan. it seems like the biggest size is 11″ or 29cm. my feet are bigger than that so i where ever i look, i can’t find my size. i totally forgot to bring my running shoes from hawaii. now i can’t exercise. how far do you think i can run with my slippers?
anyway, a typhoon coming next week. i’m getting ready. my arm feels better but still hurts deep inside. if i see a 8′ set barreling at some river mouth, i’m surfing… maybe i’ll fly tony moniz up here so he can push me into a few waves. good idea yeah?
