staying near mt. fuji, you can feel the magic. everywhere you turn, this huge mountain is right in front of you. i took this photo from miles and miles away but it feels like your right there. it’s pretty magical….
driving around, you see and meet the nicest people. this grandpa and grandma working on a field probably 365 days a year for the past 50 years…
and the cool things you see. this is mochi getting ready for grilling. oishi sou….
this, i couldn’t resist. i ate one and it was the best fish on a stick i’ve ever eaten. 500 yen or $5. worth every bone….
and last, if you don’t think this place is magical, i don’t know what to tell you. that’s not a mirror, it’s a lake… on a clear day, mt. fuji will be right between the trees. i’m not giving up until i get that shot. and when my shoulder gets better, i’m going to do a blog from the top of mt. fuji…..
**by the way, the big earthquake there last week was the biggest in 65 years. toda-san told me that i was lucky to experience it. i thought he was joking. but he wasn’t… i’m still a little traumatized…
