Aloha Transpac Sailors

178

there’s a big race called the Transpac going on right now.  forty one sailboats start in California and finish at Diamond Head.  the fastest boats can come in at 6 days so i’ve been seeing the leaders coming in.

this morning we saw this one coming in.

we asked how long it took and these guys on the “Rock-n-Roll” said it took them 7 days.  the guys were all dressed up in aloha shirts ready to party!  and it was only 7am.  haha…

if you like sailboats, now is the time to check out all the luxury ones at the Yacht Club.

this one must be over 100′.  i would love to sail on one of these someday.

you could hear all the cheering and screaming when the boats arrived.  then the party begins.  there are thousands of people celebrating at the Yacht Club right now.  probably the biggest party in Hawaii.

Donald and i don’t like big parties, we’d rather foil around in the big empty ocean like this.  this is what makes us happy!  we were racing around this morning trying not to run each other over.  haha…
