my Aunties range has been acting weird for the past few months. sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t. i checked it over and over and i couldn’t figure it out. it’s either i buy another one, or i hire someone to fix it.
so i looked at Yelp for a good appliance repairman. i found a guy with 5 star reviews and called him. he came, told me my control panel is broken, and it will cost $450 to fix. that was on top of the $100 i paid him to come to look at it. that’s a total of $550 which is the price of a brand new one. just as i was going to call him back the next day to fix it, i thought i’d open it up and check for myself. and guess what?
i found the problem when i removed the first panel. one of the power wires got loose so it was short circuiting out. i couldn’t believe it!
take a closer look. this is a 240v hot wire so this was a fire waiting to happen. and because my Aunty lives in a high rise condo, that would have been a nightmare. after i saw this, i started to get pissed off at the appliance repairman that didn’t even see this. i paid him $100 to tell me it will cost $450 more to fix?
i went to the hardware store, bought a new cord for $20, and fixed it myself. now it works perfectly! i will never trust YELP again! and the sad thing is 99.5% of people probably trust that guy. that makes me more pissed off.
back to some happier times. taking a flight, a ferry, a car ride, a boat ride, i finally arrive at this special sandbar. why is it special?
because it has this unique sand that can only be found here. want to thank my Okinawan tomodachi for taking me there! till this day, i never told anyone where it was. secrets are kept safe with me…
