Whatever Works

202

15 years ago, i use to spend all mornings and afternoons in the ocean.  then in the evening, i would go into the mountains for balance.  sometimes to breathe the fresh air, sometimes to explore, and sometimes to hunt.  i would sit on top of trees for hours and hours with a bow and arrow waiting for dinner to pass by.   all that time while hundreds of bugs crawling all over you, and thousands of mosquitos biting your face and hands.  but it was always worth it.

it’s pretty crazy what you will see in the mountains.  this was the first and last time i’ve ever seen an owl in Hawaii.  it was already dead so please don’t think i killed it because i would never.  i was actually sad because my Grandma loved owls…

sometimes i would take up my friends into the mountains unprepared.  so to prevent mosquitos from biting his feet, Hayato wore rubber gloves.  haha.  that’s pretty funny, but it worked so that’s all that matters.  whatever works right?
