100 Times Deflation

106

in my lifetime, i probably found about a hundred of these floating tubes in the ocean.  they mostly get taken out to sea off Waikiki with the wind, then end up out at the Ala Moana area.  if you don’t grab it, it will get taken out to the Pacific Ocean and never biodegrade.  so when i grab one, i usually play around with it in the ocean like a little kid.

then i would try to catch a wave and the wave will smash me.  it’s not that easy.  in this case, the wave hit me so hard that i thought i injured my neck.

it’s impossible to swim with this and your surfboard in to the beach, so the best thing to do is deflate it and tuck it in your surf trunks.  then take it to the beach and throw it away.  i don’t give these away anymore because it might end up in the ocean again.  can you imagine how many are floating around in the ocean right now?  probably in the millions!!!

i’m super grateful for foiling because it taught me how to be a better surfer.  i can read the ocean a 100 times better, i have more confidence, and when the longboards catch too many waves, i can grab my foil and catch a 100 times more waves then them.  haha.
