today we tried something different. we took out 3 different surfboards and tried to connect. i told the girls that they had to ride all 3 surfboards. and on the first 2 waves of each surfboard they ride, they can’t fall. if they fall, they have to do 20 pushups on the beach. so if they fell on all 6 waves, that would be a total of 120 pushups on the soft sand. that got their attention because they did really good.
Board 1: 9’0 high performance longboard.
Board 2: 7’4 fish.
Board 3: 9’6 stable longboard.
out of the 12 waves the girls rode, only one fall. 20 pushups on the soft sand after a lot of surfing and paddling is challenging. but i don’t care. this is going to be my new Boot Camp rule because it worked so good. if you can jump on any board i bring to the beach and succeed, you’re going to be a well balanced surfer. it’s not easy to do, but when you master it, everything in life will also be easier to adapt to…
