omg another South swell hit this morning and the waves were super good! head high and perfect conditions!!!
i was so happy to paddle out early this morning and see Isaiah already out. i just love to watch his surfing style. the way he approaches the wave is so calm and so cool. i’m super proud of this kid!
after surfing a 1.5 hour round early this morning, i went to pick up Nakagami-san and headed straight back out. the waves were still so perfect! look at his nice takeoff on a very clean wave.
surfing in glassy conditions like this is a surfers dream. Nakagami-san living the dream.
i rode a couple waves behind Tatsu-san and followed him. as he was ripping the wave, i was getting his spray in my face. haha.

Mokulele Airlines just ordered electric foil seaplanes for inter island travel. this plane takes off from the ocean with a foil, then flies right above the sea surface. do you really think this will work? what about the turtles? monk seals? seabirds? whales? and fishing boats? i’ve seen whales jump higher than this so imagine what would happen if they collided? and where are they going to launch and land from??? i’m pretty sure the locals at Molokai won’t let these seaplanes into the harbor unless the flights are free. it’s a great idea, but highly unlikely a success. i just can’t see it happening…
