when i first started surfing, there was no such thing as a thruster or “three fin” surfboard. there were only single fins and twin fins. i liked the twin fins because it was so loose and alive. my neighbor was a shaper by the name of Carson so he hand shaped my very first surfboard i bought with my own money. when i got it, i slept with it in my bed every night. i was 14 years old and that was my first girlfriend. 
then 15 years ago before the twin fin started to make a comeback, i approached Glenn Minami and asked him to shape me a twin fin like he shaped back in the 1970’s for my hero Dane Kealoha. Glenn went to look for his old template and found it. then he shaped me this old school twin fin, the same model Dane Kealoha use to ride. ever since then, i treasured it and now it’s in my living room. i think i might sleep with it tonight. haha.
