Dream Blackout

112

I went out extra early this morning because I love being in the dark.  And it was very dark!

While most of Honolulu sleeps, I’m ready for anything starting at 3am every morning.

And by the time the sun rises over Diamond Head, my morning session is already done.  Another amazing day!

This free diver tried to dive 125M or 410 feet.  On the way up, he blacked out.  Shallow water blackout is when you black out on the way up.  It’s like simple falling asleep.  It’s very common and if you’re with spotters, there is a 99% chance you will survive.  And if you’re without spotters, there is a 0% chance you will survive.

This guy wasn’t dead even though he looked like it, he was just just in a deep sleep.  Thankfully his spotters grabbed him, brought him up, and revived him.  Lots of free divers aren’t so lucky.

A few minutes after his dream, he woke up and was smiling.  And I’m sure he can’t wait for his next dive.  One Life…
