This was a very rare shark encounter at Bowls. October and November are the breeding months so expect more sightings. And so sad to hear about the surfer that got attacked 2 days ago at Puuena Point on the North Shore. The surfer apparently got bit when he was in the white wash after going under a wave. 
So yesterday morning as I was waiting for a wave, this big shadow was coming towards me. Thank goodness it was just a turtle. Yes, I jumped a little. 
Watching the fighter jets flying over the lineup, you can only think about the wars that are going on right now. I hope for world peace. 
This summer has been the worst for South swells, BUT, it seems like summer isn’t over yet. We’re in October when the waves are usually small, BUT, I got back on October 2nd and the waves have been really good since. And more South swells on the way!
