Did you see the full moon this morning? We pulled up at Bowls early morning and it was flat. I saw Jeannie’s car so had a feeling she’d be taking photos as usual. She just sent me this one. Amazing! We drove out to the North shore and this was in our view all the way out there. Thank you Jeannie!
If you haven’t foiled for over 2 years, don’t expect to be able to foil properly. It’s just one of those sports that takes time, patience, and frustration. I had a feeling how it was going to go, which is usually not good.
The waves on the North shore were big, bumpy, and lots of current. Not at all the best for foiling but there was no turning back.
Not a successful attempt this morning. I was laughing so much because I understand the frustration. You get better at surfing so you think you’ll get better at foiling. Wrong! That’s not how it works. This surfer/foiler got a very humbling experience. Try again next time.
We came back to Ala Moana for an afternoon session. Small, calm, easy, and peaceful. Totally opposite from the North shore.
