oh my gosh!
i swear i’m living in a dream.
i swear something just isn’t right.
we planned a night dive and to tell you the truth, i really wasn’t
looking forward to it.
i night dove so many times in hawaii so i thought we were going to see a
few parrot fish sleeping.
well, come to find out, this isn’t hawaii. this is the maldives.
the maldives is probably the most protected mass of water that has the
most fish in the world.
spear fishing is illegal and most areas are protected by the government.
there is so much wildlife in the ocean that it blows my mind every day.
6 of us went for the night dive and that 1 hour underwater changed the
way i think about the ocean.
it’s a long story, but i’ll sit down one day and explain why i’m so
happy about seeing what i’m seeing, and at the same time, why i’m so sad.
i know hawaii use to be like this back in the days and it makes me sad
to think that someday all our fish will be gone.
the next generations are never going to see what the ocean supposed to
look like.
hawaii is overfished and so are many other parts of the world.
the maldives is like hanauma bay where ever you go. it’s so cool to see.
it surely changed my way of hunting fish.
well, back to the night dive.
i took 30 min of video and when you see it, you will freak.
i’ve never seen so many 100lbs. + ulua’s (GT’s) in my life.
i haven’t seen so many nurse sharks in my life.
i haven’t seen so much fish hunting at night like that.
we were in another world and i didn’t want to leave.
it’s my last 2 days on this boat and it’s going to be hard to leave it
and go back to my 14′ boat back in hawaii. haha.
i’m only joking.
have a wonderful day!
