2 years ago, i was driving down the pali highway. the city and county
was trimming trees and one fell down and cracked my windshield. i came
home and called the city office and made a claim. i went down for an
appointment and guess what? they denied it! they said “no way.” OMG! i
was pissed and had to pay the $450 to fix my windshield.
fast forward to 4 days ago. ryosuke, naoka, miwa-san, and i were driving
around the island. right by kuilima, the city and county workers were
cutting the grass. as i passed “bang!” i stopped, i got out, and looked
at my car. OMG!! a big rock hit my passenger door. this time, i took
photos, and this time, i have 3 witnesses. i called to make a claim and
i will keep you posted on what happens. i’m not bummed about it because
shit happens and it could have been worst. if it was one foot up, the
thing could have cracked my window and hit ryosuke in the head. the
damage will probably cost around $400 to fix and i will be really pissed
if they deny me again. i might have to call my lawyer this time.
