It’s amazing what you will see in the ocean. Everyday is different so you have to be prepared when something huge pops up right on the side of you. This Hawaiian Monk seal was pretty big and intimidating. We made eye to eye contact for 3 seconds and he decided to dive back down. I froze and thought to myself “please don’t bite me.”
By making eye contact, it feels like a connection. You just have to keep calm and everything will be fine.
We go outside of Waikiki and just randomly anchor the boat for a free dive. Little did we know, we anchored right above a huge school of fish. I didn’t know until I put on my mask and saw thousands of akule right under us. It stayed there the whole time. 
The whole time we were diving into the bait ball, I was thinking how delicious these fish are. 
I should have brought my fishing pole! You don’t see this very often. In fact, this was my first time seeing a school of akule like this. You just never know what the ocean will show you. That’s why I love it so much…
