last night was one of the most happiest nights of my life. having a great italian dinner with my friends, then walking to the blaisdell center to see Neil Diamond. i had a lot to drink and was feeling so good. i was alone, but not lonely. this is the concert i’ve been waiting all my life. every song sank deep into my mind and soul. it brought up my childhood life as it was yesterday. mixed emotions for sure, but all happy ones. the cool thing about this is i get to go again tomorrow. neil diamond is playing in maui tonight, then coming back to play for me tomorrow. nobody in the world was as happy as i was last night.
when i walked in, i looked around and i was the youngest guy in the place. i took my seat, then this nice couple next to me asked me “what is a young guy like you doing here?” i told them, “Neil Diamond plays a big part in my life. I’m trying to put the pieces together in my childhood life and this concert is a huge step for me.” i sat back and drank my jack/pepsi and went back 30 years as Neil Diamond sang his heart away. joy, tears, and happiness. it was unreal!
anybody want a VIP PARKING for saturday nights Feb. 18th Neil Diamond concert? it’s worth $20 but you can have it for free. i have 2 but only need 1. let me know. see you there!
**last, want to congratulate Go-Naminori’s Chiaki Okuyama for advancing to the quarter finals of the Pipe contest. I think they surf again tomorrow and hope for her the best! Go-Chiaki!
