mari-chan was my guide yesterday and i got some cool video of her surfing diamond head….
these shots are super hard to get. try taking off with a camera in your mouth, standing up, taking it out of your mouth, turn it on, and start shooting with sprays in your face. hard to get but once you get a video clip like this, it doesn’t get more real than that….
takako surfs really good. it was the first time i seen her surf and i was pretty impressed. she sets her rail good on the bottom turn and throws a lot of sprays. it’s cool seeing japanese girls ripping it up and living the life in hawaii…
the kids are practicing for the contests this weekend. the local motion surf into summer at bowls, and the nssa contest at kewalos. there will be some great surfing this weekend….
**by the way, kelia’s video for the second day made ratings again. all over the world. i just watched it again and was thinking something. i was thinking how crazy kelia must think i am. haha.. oh well…..
