i’ve been hearing about all the rain in japan now. gosh, i hope everybody is alright. i just trip out how japan’s been taking a beating from mother nature. from earthquakes, tsunami’s, rain, to typhoons. i try to think positive and hope to see the blue skies, the clean water, fresh air, and the true beauty of japan. i guess that’s why when i see things like mt. fuji, the sakura, and festivals, i get so dam happy! hang in there friends! the blue sky is right around the corner. see you all there soon!
my grandpa fukunaga is going to be 93 years old this year. he can drive a car, take a walk, go shopping, and cook for himself. super healthy and super genki! my other grandpa lived until 96 years old. so that means if i stay healthy and stay out of jail, i will live a long life too. it’s always good to see grandpa and hear all the stories about his parents immigrating from kumamoto. all the hardships they went through, working in the plantation factories, the bombing of pearl harbor, feeling of WWII, the racism, and everything else. i know my grandparents were really strong because i couldn’t go through something like that. i would stress out too much and do something crazy for sure. but the thing i learned most from my grandparents is: “Work hard and spend your money wisely!!!!!!” and that’s what i’m doing. want to thank my grandparents for teaching me great values in life that i will carry on and pass down to the younger generation.
